Meet our Speakers:
Carter Brothers is a Member in the Roanoke office of Spilman, Thomas & Battle, PLLC. A tax attorney by education, he spends most of his time helping clients navigate the difficult waters where state probate laws meet the federal transfer tax system. He is a past Chair of the Virginia State Bar Trusts and Estates Section of the Board of Governors and is licensed in both Virginia and Tennessee.
Nathan Kottkamp is a Partner in the Healthcare Department at Williams Mullen, in Richmond. Nathan is passionate about advance care planning; he the Founder and remains the Chair of National Healthcare Decisions Day. Nathan volunteers on several hospital ethics committees, where he sees advance care planning matters unfold in real life.
