Distinguished Estate Planner Award
The Distinguished Estate Planner Award ® recognizes a member of our Council for a lifetime of exceptional service to the field of estate planning. The recipient may currently be engaged in practice or retired but must have been involved in the field of estate planning for a minimum of 20 years and must have been a member of the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council for at least 10 years at some point in their career. No self-nominations.
The recipient must reflect, in practice, the goals for which our council was organized:
• to further the education of the members of the council and of the public in the field of estate planning;
• to promote cooperation and to foster a better understanding of the proper relationship among estate planners of different professions; and
• to provide a better understanding of estate planning and of the services that estate planners can render to the general public.

You may know one or more individuals that should be considered for the Distinguished Estate Planner Award. If so, please complete the nomination application to Jan Dungan, Executive Director, via email at admin@hrepc.org, by April 18, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. The award will be presented at the Membership Meeting on May 20th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
