Topic: "The Client in Winter: Estate Planning Considerations for the Last Few Miles Before the Big Sleep”
Overview:
Unlike Robert Frost in his poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, the client in winter does not have many more miles to go before he or she sleeps. This presentation will touch upon the various issues an estate planning professional may confront at that time and different techniques the estate planning professional can use opportunistically to achieve tax savings and facilitate post-mortem administration. Although all may not be possible under the circumstances, the overarching idea of the presentation is what can be done, in Frost’s words, to help the client’s “promises” to be kept.
