Topic: Working with Donor-advised Funds
One of the biggest trends in charitable giving has been the growth in donor-advised funds. Their simplicity and flexibility make them a popular choice for a wide variety of philanthropically-minded individuals. This presentation will review the benefits and issues to consider in incorporating donor-advised funds as a part of your clients’ plans.
About our Speaker:
Steve Clark currently serves as Assistant Vice President for Gift Planning at Virginia Tech, providing leadership to its gift planning effort and supporting its principal gift team.
He has over 21 years of advancement experience, having previously served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Development at North Carolina State University and in several gift planning positions at Virginia Tech. Before his career in advancement, he practiced law with firms in Richmond VA and Abingdon VA, and earned a B.A. and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia.
He is a past president of the Blue Ridge Planned Giving Study Group, and is a former member of the national board of directors for the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly known as the National Committee on Planned Giving).
